Had a series of odd phone calls last friday.
I normaly call the boys up on Thursday or Friday to set out a plan of action for the weekend or find out from them if they got any special ideas on what to get up to.
Last friday was different.
It shouldn’t have caught be by suprise but…suprisingly…it did!
l’ll start off with friday afternoon. I’m Just about done with work when I give Bmad a call.
After a few rings Bmad picks up.
<Blade> Bmizzle..
<Bmad> …duudeee…
<Blade> how u doin champ..
<bmade> doing good man..you?
<Blade> Always blazing, …whats the deal tonight killer?
<Bmad> …aaah..tonight…I dont know…gonna pick up the wife…get a movie then…. I dont know
<Blade> ..rolling with the wife tonight ?!… been a while since we kicked it dude
<Bmad> aaah i know i know…im already commited…sorry bro.
<Blade> …cool cool…make it count..
<Bmad> maybe tomorrow…
<Blade> word…we can regroup then…later
I then proceed to call The Scud , hes always down for something.
<Blade> Scudmeister…how u doin champ?
<TheScud> Ey Blade, im good U?
<Blade> its friday ..take a guess.
….
<Blade> There is this thing going down at the spot, you In?
<TheScud> hmm, I’m havin dinner with the lady friend. A quiet one.
<Blade> …..THE lady friend?
<TheScud> yep, that one….*laughs* … ill give U a call later in the night might come out for a short one. Not going to be late. Work tomorrow.
<Blade> …well I should hope that you DONT call…if you know what I mean.
<TheScud> hahaha, ok later man.
At this point im kinda runnig out of Wing folk to roll with here. I decide to skype TheSkyscraper, shes always up for a night out.
<Blade> Ola, …plans for friday night?
<TheSkyscraper> yo yo mofo, hangin with PrettyP (her crush)
<Blade> thought u guys always hang anyway…
<TheSkyscraper> yep, but this time….we chillin alone. no extra company hahah.
<Blade> gees, no need to be harshe just wanted if you wanted to go check out that spot.
<TheSkyscraper> no no..didnt mean it that way…I rarely get time alone with this one…wana take full advantage..know what im saying..

Every single one of my current wingmen / wingirls was busy hooking up.
Most are actually in relationships or working on getting one. Matador, Mr T , Bmad all of them.
Dont get me wrong, I’m really happy for them! Hell I intoduced Bmad to his current gurl, I was there when TheScud met The-Lady-Friend.
So I ask myself why did this series of phone calls suprise me? Perhaps its because I assumed everyone would be / is satisfued with the single life like I am.
Perhaps a part of me feels swak because the familiar people I used to hang with arent there as regularly to share in the odd adventures.
I seem to be the last man standing.
Well I guess I’m going to have go on a recruitment drive or just flow solo for a while, its worked for me last year when I didnt know many people in the city.

In society its just the norm to be in a relationship. Being single isn’t for everyone. Dont join the struggle, unless its for that one girl that you know is amazing in every aspect.
I dont think I’ll ever go completely full-time again, even if they pass the 2 week test..
