I think I might have jumped ahead of myself here. I know I might have left someof you by the wayside by not explaining what a PUA and the community behind it is all about.
PUA stands for PickUp Artist or PickUp Artistry.
What is a pick up artist.?
A pickup artist (PUA) is a term used to describe a man who is skilled in meeting, attracting, and seducing women.

In the past coupple of years Pick-Up artistry has evolved rapidly (mostly due to the advent of the internet ).
The internet enabled PUAs to trade and exchange their techniques over the net. As time went by the more serious and dedicated PUAs rose to the top as they were the ones that offered techniques that produced the most consistent results. Because the community flourished over internet forums and discussion boards most PUAs have nick names, e.g Style , Mystery , Matador , Tyler Durden.
Soon PUA took their skills and secrets into seminars and bootcamps. In exchange for a fee they would train you in the art and take you “in field” (clubs , bars, social gatherings etc) and actively show you how its done LIVE.
Some published books on the topic that have proven quite popular over the internet and reached best seller lists across the world. e.g The Game by Niel Strauss aka Style
The latest of the commercialization of the community is a hit VH1 reality show called The PickUp Artist. One of the most respected PUAs in the community, Mystery, stars as himself. He trains a couple of AFC ( Average Frustrated Chumps) with no luck with women into PickUp gurus. those that fail at various tasks are eliminated.

Most beginners that get into PickUp Artistry, much like I was, get into it to learn the magic techniques and lines for that instant success. But it is the very few that stick with it and find out in the end its all about making yourself a better person a more confident person who is skilled at interacting with people, not just women.
Whatever your reasons are for getting into pick up whether it be curiosity or genuine need to learn, I’m sure that you will find that it is a dense and complicated world with its own language, modes of thought and strange characters.

I enjoyed this post. You could also sum this up with confidence. If we have confidence in ourselves we can do such things (in that way simplicity could be found in confidence). You need the confidence to go for these things, if the confidence in your ability to just talk natural to people and enjoy what you have (rather than striving for more) for example, then that’s the major hurdle overcome.
