It’s been 1 year since I first started this blog and quite a year it has been. When I first started out I had a set of goals I wanted to achieve before the end of the year. My goals were simple manageable and essential for me to be able to establish myself socially in a new city.
- Start building up a peer group.
- Find a competent wingman.
- Know the territory. It’s important to know where to go to meet people.
- Establish a “base of operations / headquarters” a venue out that you are familiar with that you can both start off and end off the night of at.
Start building up a peer group.
How have I done with this so far.
My peer group has expanded quite rapidly over the year with meeting an average of new 3 people per week.
Find a competent wingman.
I was lucky enough to have a friend here that I knew from high school. He made a great wingman for this year. I also got to meet a couple of other dudes that were just naturally confident with women. These guys also made great wingmen.
Know the territory. It’s important to know where to go to meet people.
This is one of the most fun points. I loved discovering new places and meeting the people that regular those places.
Establish a “base of operations / headquarters” a venue out that you are familiar with that you can both start off and end off the night of at.
I did establish base of operations, a cosy little place in town where I’m not part of the furniture.
Targets reached, Mission accomplished!
So what of the next year? Well talk on that later.
