I write this on the final week of summer in Cape Town.
It’s been an epic summer with loads of fun, sun drama and intrigue, much like a summer block buster, much of which I have blogged about.
In the past couple weeks I’ve had to say goodbye to some new friends of mine who were down here to escape the harsh northern hemisphere winter. I experienced a strange feeling the weekend after all the goodbyes were said, I had no plans! I noticed that in the past 6 weeks I was hanging out with them showing them what the Cape Town night life had to offer. Great fun.
The sweet thing is my euro pals have all offered to do the same for me in the northern hemisphere. So I’m in the planning stages of my epic euro road trip. Interestingly it’s all the cold countries that I’d like to visit. Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands are on my hit list.
For those of you who are following me on twitter would have noticed that been twittering a lot lately on politics. It’s been a big election month in South Africa. Quite a major deal, a lot of people were quite concerned about the now new president Zuma. A man that I must say has no SolidGame.
So what’s in the cards for Sir Blade in the next couple months of winter?
Gym:
I’m going back to my old gym routine. In not in bad shape at all, it’s just that I miss the ritual of pushing weights around after a hard day’s work.
I’ve got my gym regiment and routine all planned out. It consists of firstly strength training, cardio and conditioning. I’m also taking a sabbatical from my old pal Amstel.
Salsa:
I’m not sure how Ill manage to fit this into my busy schedule. But for month’s I’ve been meaning to take salsa lessons. My buddy Chris Imod swears by it. He turned my other friend DT to it now I can’t stop hearing about it.
I was never a big fan of winter. I hate the cold, the constant rain, the short days.
That being said, I realise that it’s just a season. So I’m keeping a positive outlook and keeping warm.
To all those that made this summer a kick ass one and to you reader…
THANK YOU!
