A few months ago I found out on twitter about a new TV show about to hit South African televisions. The show is called MAN. The show is about the love lives of 4 Cape Townian guys Henri Slier, Kaizer Tsosane, Trevor Gow and Maurice Levin.

It was subsequently postponed due to SABC 3’s cricket commitments (ENG vs RSA: which South Africa won btw ).
They later got a new airdate! 22 January 2010 on SABC 3. That’s is in a few days. So just to bring you up to speed, here is what has happened between last few months to now.

This was a surprisingly difficult list to put together.  There are simply so many places to go to in Cape Town we (TheScud and I) haven’t yet visited them all. We don’t think we’ll be able to get to them all. But of all the places we’ve visited, we think this list is a pretty comprehensive list.  It is a list of clubs that you are almost guaranteed to meet some of the hottest and most interesting women in Cape Town this summer.
The most important criteria for a great venue for meeting hotties is, that’s right you guessed it, lots of hot chicks. But there are also other factors that contribute to this, approachability of the ladies and atmosphere of the venue.  We have also added our most successful pickup line for that particular venue.  Use it lose it. Your choice.

I love suits. I don’t have very many but my collection is growing. I James Bond is currently my favourite suit guy second only to Barney Stinson who believes suiting up is a way of life. Following International Suit Up Day coming up on the 13th of August, I decided to do some research on the net about choosing a suit. Choosing a suit isn’t as straight forward as you might think. There are several things to take into consideration, body size/shape, fabric, suit style etc. Hope fully this post will give you a clearer idea on what to do when trying to get a suit.

Scent is the strongest sense tied to memory. What does this mean? If you can stimulate her nose with a scent all your own, it’s like writing your name on that little tiny part of her brain!

I’m often asked what it is I’m wearing, true story. It’s been a great excuse for a woman to start a conversation with me.

My current favourite is the Yardley 442 Classic for men(pictured). It’s not expensive and smells damn good. My other favs are most by Hugo Boss and Lentheric. If you don’t know how to buy cologne or where to start, I’ve compiled a few pointers to help you out. Just cause I’m a bro with your best interests at heart.

You don’t have to fork out thousands to smell like sex on fire. However if you can afford it, go ahead why not.

Cologne reacts to body heat, so the best places to apply are on the wrists and around the chest/neck. My routine is to apply one spray to the left wrist and rub that on the right wrist. Then, I spray once or twice on the chest. I like toe like to put some on the back of the neck to create a scent trail and the back of my ears, perfect for when you lean in to whisper in her ear, kiss on the cheek or hug (this is a gem). In any case, use discretion. You don’t need to let everyone know you’re coming.

Sometimes I screw up and put on a little too much to be honest. When your eyes start watering…yeah it’s too much.

If you’re buying in a store, remember to smell before you buy. Spray onto a provided strip or wrist and continue to smell it occasionally for about 20 minutes until you have a good handle on the cologne. In addition, after you’ve found cologne that you’re fairly serious about buying, make sure to try it on before buying. Every cologne reacts differently with different skin chemistries. You can try on up to four colognes at a time- one on each wrist and one on the inside of each elbow (where your veins are).

Don’t spray cologne onto your clothes. It will not last longer; quite the opposite, actually.

If your bottle of cologne doesn’t have a spray top, put your finger over the top and turn the bottle. Then rub your finger on your chest. Use moderation.

I recently discovered a love for cigars. I’m not a smoker but I think cigars are just pretty fucken cool.

Some famous cigar smokers: Bill Clinton: you might recall what kinda fun he decided to have with his cigar. Funny thing I discovered was that because the White House was designated as a non-smoking area during the Clinton Administration, the President would more often chew a cigar than smoke one…or stuck it up an intern…wherever the pimpin took him.

To my AFC(Average Frustrated Chump) friends. I have a few things you need to know about me and how I roll.
Over the past couple weeks your misguided frustration with me has been just that, misguided.

I fully understand why you like rolling with me and its all good. You see the hotties I roll with, the amounts of fun we have, the new people you get to meet. You want in on that, thats great i totaly understand!

Hi Carlos.

Of Gods most wonderful creation on earth there are a few that you should probably avoid dating. In my experience and in no particular order here are 3 kinds of women I naturally try to avoid.
The primary reason is that they are a negative influence in my life. It is always advisable to surround yourself with people that help you grow as a person. This short list isn’t about telling women how to be. It is, instead, about telling men to date smarter. Ask any woman, they also have these kinds of lists so this is nothing new.

I am a big fan of girls..Duh.  I’m an even bigger fan of girls with girl power. A girl with girl power to me translates to an independent girl with self confidence and self respect. An independent woman that knows what she wants out of life.
Believe it or not this is not a common trait sadly. Some women have a difficult time realising their self worth. Sometimes their self confidence is through the roof and there are sometimes when they go through a low self-esteem patch. This is life.
