Solid Game

Last night was time for my first bi-annual visit to a strip club…obviously. Me and some of my friends from my stand-up comedy circuit decided to give Mavericks a visit.  It was rather cool…the club was relatively empty and the girls were bored.
One of my friends had these hipster spectacles. The ones that you wear not because you have an eye problem, you just wear them for the fuck of it…cause it looks good. He had a Clark Kent thing going. Any way cut to the incident. Read the rest of this entry »

Forgive me father for I have sinned. It has been several months since my last blog post. What can I say man, it’s been a heavy past couple of months. There’s been lots going in general and in my life. I know some of you were wondering what happened to me. Some of you were asking me if I had gotten a girlfriend and run off and abandoned the SolidGame. Well I’m here to say no such thing has happened… yet hahaha.
The thing is about my blog is that I prefer not to talk about every single thing that happens on a daily or weekly basis. You can find that on other blogs. I’d much prefer to share with you things that might either entertain you, school you or both.

I think it was a Friday night at my my HQ. It must have been my round cause I went over to the bar to get the boys a round of drinks. That is when I noticed Janice and her friend sitting in at the corner of the bar…yeah I know..cliche. They weren’t saying much to each other, they seemed to be watching the people.

This was a surprisingly difficult list to put together.  There are simply so many places to go to in Cape Town we (TheScud and I) haven’t yet visited them all. We don’t think we’ll be able to get to them all. But of all the places we’ve visited, we think this list is a pretty comprehensive list.  It is a list of clubs that you are almost guaranteed to meet some of the hottest and most interesting women in Cape Town this summer.
The most important criteria for a great venue for meeting hotties is, that’s right you guessed it, lots of hot chicks. But there are also other factors that contribute to this, approachability of the ladies and atmosphere of the venue.  We have also added our most successful pickup line for that particular venue.  Use it lose it. Your choice.

Yeap. Crazy weekend that.
I was busy with my Friday afternoon battery of phone calls. I get these calls every Friday evening after 7pm like clockwork. It’s usually my friends looking to find out where I’m at , where I’m going to be at, what’s going on at, who is going to be at, can they join me at….the list is endless. Needless to say it’s a rather busy time for me. Cleaning up, Suiting up, scenting up…

I was on one of these calls as I was on my way out the Boom Boom room (..That is the name my flatmate decided to christen our flat). Clearly distracted, I closed the door behind me and only realising that my keys were STILL INSIDE!

This was a problem because I don’t have a spare and my flatmate had gone off for the weekend with his girlfriend. DAMN!

Night 1 in my suit was great, but not out of the ordinary. Yeah, I did find a “couch” to crash in…she was more than happy to help me out.

The lesson here is simple. Make sure you bet yourself a comfortable suit, incase you are stuck in it for several days J.

Thanks to my friends and to my lady friend for allowing me to crash at their places. I would do the same for you of course.

I’m a huge Guy Ricthie fan. After months of searching I finally managed to get my hands on RocknRolla. The title track immediately got my attention. A band is called Black Strobe and the song is simply titled I’m A Man. I LOVE this tune, its raw! I loved it more when I read the lyrics. Listen to it and you will know what I mean. I woke up early, ironed my shirt. Picked out my tie. Assembled the killer combo. Strolled to work with a swagger only a dude with a suit can swing. Walked into the office..paused gave the receptionist a nod and a wink.

<Receptionist> Nice suit…? *smiling*

<Blade>  Why thank you mizz…

…..

<Colleague> didn’t think you ACTUALLY suit up

<Blade> …bro…if you think you can’t …the you are probably right.

<Colleague> …that doesn’t even make sense

<Blade> ….if you were suited up it would.

And so began a legendary day.

I love suits. I don’t have very many but my collection is growing. I James Bond is currently my favourite suit guy second only to Barney Stinson who believes suiting up is a way of life. Following International Suit Up Day coming up on the 13th of August, I decided to do some research on the net about choosing a suit. Choosing a suit isn’t as straight forward as you might think. There are several things to take into consideration, body size/shape, fabric, suit style etc. Hope fully this post will give you a clearer idea on what to do when trying to get a suit.
